The Catholic Mobilizing Network states that it, "... has gathered a wide variety of print, video and other resources to assist individuals and groups in their efforts to bring about an end to the death penalty and promote restorative justice in the United States. The Catholic Mobilizing Network also help to provide curriculum materials to help teachers, pastors or youth/campus ministers lead students in age-appropriate discussions about the death penalty. National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty
The National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty’s mission is to abolish the death penalty in the United States and support efforts to abolish the death penalty worldwide. This organzation aims to compel states to stop the death penalty by using strategic planning and campaign development while also offering training services. The National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty seeks to build a diverse and powerful nation that wants to repeal the death penalty. They have already helped to win some victories for the death penalty abolition movement. Seven states in the past decade have abolished capital punishment. Today, 19 states and the District of the Columbia are death penalty-free, with almost every other state moving away from the death penalty. |
